Print this Article
Posted Wednesday, March 14, 2018
The next PTSO meeting will be
Tuesday, April 17
at 7:00pm
in the DHS Media Center. We will be discussing activities through the end of the school year and introducing two minor amendments to our DHS PTSO By-laws for vote.
The proposed Amendments are to: 1- Change the term limits for officers other than president and treasurer; and 2- Clarify the transition requirements when a new officer is elected. A copy of the current PTSO By-laws is available
here
.
The proposed amendments are as follows in bold:
Article VII. H. A person serving as Co-President and/or Co-Treasurer shall not be eligible to serve more than two (2) consecutive terms in that same office. Any other officer is eligible to serve consecutive terms if nominated by committee and elected.
Article VIII. F.
All officers shall be members of the Executive Committee and perform duties outlined in these bylaws and those assigned from time to time.
Upon expiration of the term of office or in case of resignation, each officer shall turn over to their successor all records, books and other materials to the office, and shall return to the treasurer, all funds pertaining to the office in a timely manner.
These amendments are being brought forth to improve the efficiency of our DHS PTSO mission.
We hope to see you at our next PTSO meeting on
April 17.
