The Latin American Association will hold their 21st annual Latino Youth Leadership Conference this year. The conference will run from October 29th- October 31st with Dunwoody's Group meeting on October 30th! Several DHS students and staff attended last year's conference at Emory University, and it was phenomenal! This year, the conference will be virtual. The Latino Youth Leadership Conference is FREE and is designed to "inspire middle and high school students from across Georgia to pursue higher education and follow their dreams. The Latino Youth Leadership Conference is an inspirational and high-energy experience featuring motivational speakers, workshops and a virtual college fair".
The
DHS Counseling Department will show the conference kickoff video on Friday, October 30 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m via Zoom. If you are interested in viewing the video, please complete this Google Form by Monday, October 26. You will receive the link to the video after your information is received.
We are also encouraging students and parents to attend the virtual College Fair on Saturday, October 31st. Please visit the link below for more information on the conference and to sign up for the college fair.

La Asociación Latinoamericana celebrará su 21ª Conferencia Anual Latina de Liderazgo Juvenil este año. ¡La conferencia se llevará a cabo del 29 al 31 de octubre con la reunión de estudiantes de Dunwoody el 30 de octubre! Varios estudiantes y personal de DHS asistieron a la conferencia el año pasado en la Universidad de Emory, ¡Fue fenomenal! Este año, la conferencia será virtual. La Conferencia Latina de Liderazgo Juvenil es GRATUITA y está diseñada para "inspirar a los estudiantes de secundaria y preparatoria de todo Georgia a alcanzar una educación superior y seguir sus sueños. La Conferencia Latina de Liderazgo Juvenil es una experiencia inspiradora y de gran energía con oradores que motivan, talleres y una feria universitaria virtual ".

Departamento de Consejería de DHS mostrará el video de inicio de la conferencia el viernes 30 de octubre a partir de las 2:00 p.m. a las 3:00 p.m a través de Zoom. Si está interesado en ver el video, complete este formulario de Google antes del lunes 26 de octubre. Recibirá el enlace del video después que recibamos su información.
