The Dunwoody defense was all over the place on Friday night as they held Discovery to just 7 points. The Wildcats got multiple contributions from numerous players including a 3-sack night from Rontae Langford. The junior forced a fumble on the first defensive play of the game, and Jack Wichman was there to scoop the ball and return it 62 yards for a touchdown. Wichman added 6 tackles and a pass break up himself. Senior Ben Harris led the team with 9 tackles on the night. As a defensive unit, the Wildcats racked up 7 tackles for loss, including 4 sacks.
The win puts the Wildcats in a battle this week against Duluth for a playoff spot. We need ALL of the student body at North DeKalb Stadium on Friday to PACK THE STANDS and give us a home field advantage!
