Congratulations to the Wet Wildcats for a successful 1-5A State Swimming and Diving meet!
Emily C. (10th place), Abbey Y. (13th place) and Savannah M. (20th place) scored during the diving portion of the meet. Tanner E. and Zach H. also dove for the Wet Wildcats.
For the boys, the Medley Relay of Christopher T., Nic D., Ben R., and Shota B. placed 18th. Ben R., Shota B., Liam E., and Will S. in the 200 Free relay. Liam E., Will S., Paul J., and Christopher T. competed in the 400 Free relay. Shota B. swam the 50 free and Ben R. competed in the 100 fly and 100 breast. Christopher T. broke two school records while placing 10th in the 200 free and 4th in the 100 back.
On the girls side, Laura S., Hannah Jane R., Allie R., and Kaleigh M. combined to shatter a 1983 DHS record and place 2nd in the 400 free relay. The same four girls also lowered their 200 medley relay standard and placed 5th. Jessica W., Emma W., Haley P., and Claire T. competed in the 200 free relay. In the individual events, Allie R. placed 2nd in the 100 breast in an All-American consideration time and a new school record. She also placed 7th in the 200 IM with another DHS record. Laura S. placed 5th in the 100 free, lowering her school record from 2014. She also placed 7th in the 50 free. Kaleigh M. placed 15th in the 50 free and 14th in the 100 free. Hannah Jane R. placed 14th in the 100 fly and Emma W. placed 20th in the 100 breast.
The girls team placed 4th in the 1-5A State Swimming and Diving meet, just one point shy of third place. The DHS girls are the top 5A school in the State. Congratulations to all! Go wet wildcats!!
