General Alert


Due to reports from the National Weather service that DeKalb County will experience frigid temperatures and high winds with low wind-chill factors, all outdoor athletics games and practices in the DeKalb County School District are cancelled for Tuesday, February 9, 2016. All varsity and junior varsity soccer matches will be rescheduled. Teams may practice and condition indoors.

All indoor games and activities will continue as scheduled to include all varsity, junior varsity and Middle School basketball region tournament and playoff games.

Course Selection Forms -- PAST DUE
Parents, please check with your students to make certain that they have turned in a course selection form. If they have not turned in a course selection form, they need to come by the Counseling Office, pick up the grade appropriate form, fill it out, get your signature on it, and turn it in as soon as possible.  
Vote on Amendments to PTSO By-Laws
The next PTSO meeting will be Tuesday, February 9 at 7:00pm in the DHS Media Center. We will be discussing activities through the end of the school year and introducing three amendments to our DHS PTSO By-Laws for vote.   
From the Discipline Office: Student Parking
WARNING: Students please be aware that you must have a parking decal to park on Dunwoody High School Campus.

Students, who park without the current year's decal will be given a citation and discipline consequences. Also students you cannot not park along the curb or anywhere other than student designated spaces.

We are honored to announce Ryan Polk, Parul Rai, and Paul Weinshenker as Dunwoody High School's Semifinalists in the 2016 National Merit Scholarship Competition.

DCSD Launchpad / Office 365
DeKalb County Schools introduces Launchpad, a student portal that provides access to the students’ Office 365 accounts as well as a multitude of digital academic resources which are provided by the district. With Launchpad, students are able to integrate technology in the classroom while maximizing instructional time. Launchpad is dynamic tool that changes resources as the needs of the students change. It is easily accessible from any mobile device.
Thanks to Microsoft’s Student Advantage Program, all students currently enrolled in the DeKalb County School District are eligible to download and use Microsoft Office for free.

On Wednesday evening a neighborhood family was almost hit by a student in a white SUV.
Students who drive to school and to school sponsored events, please be sure to obey the neighborhood speed limits and traffic rules.
We want DHS students to set a good example and keep to the greater Dunwoody Community safe.

Students please be advised that all dress code violations will result in after school detention even if student changes clothing. The school dress code is door to door and students are expected to be dressed appropriately when they enter the building. Please note! Ripped holes in jeans above the knee are a dress code violation.
